Hey everyone,
Beta Kappa Xi has been very busy planning out Rush events and shirts. A couple idea's for Rush events are a sledding night, athletic night, Movie night, and Game night. We as an organization hope that through the different events we will be able to target all different groups and allow a more diverse pledge class to enter our family.
In regards to the whole issue between members of family, we as a group sat down and allowed all of us to voice our anger in a controlled manner will Bill Sherman as a mediator. However when speaking with John about the current issues the majority of the organization felt that John was not upholding his obligations to this family. Due to this fact John is no longer a brother of Beta Kappa Xi.
On a Happier note Beta Kappa Xi is planning on becoming involved a lot on campus this year from doing the DOE bowl a ton to TDX soft Ball tournament and even doing the Dance Marathon to support the Humane society. Also We were thinking of making our own event a couple of idea's were to get involved with the humane society and have a dog race along with the race have different side events like doggy art works and different places where donations could be made. As you can see its still very in the works and there is much more planning to be done. However this event will cost a lot of money and even possibly teaming up with another organization.
Also we as an organization have talked and are trying to become fully recognized. We feel that it will give us a little more respect and also a bigger budget to work with. We know the task at hand will be very hard but we feel like we are strong enough to accomplish this.
Finally a quick reminder Alumni due's are needed. It's ten dollars a semester, but if you could give a little extra it will help greatly!!! you can send due's directly to me or any on campus member my address is
